Victoria Kennedy
paintings
With a BA (Hons) in printed textiles, Victoria originally worked in Kensington Park Road, London designing textiles inspired by India. Since concentrating on painting, she has explored the natural world and the beautiful tangled forms of plants. Exotic flowers in rich colours and seed heads inspire, often as large-scale drawings, she works from real life, using a quick spontaneous method of painting and drawing. She has recently studied different methods of watercolour painting with an RWS artist in London which has moved her work on to also include ethereal landscapes inspired by recent visits to Provence, France and Andalucia, Spain.
Victoria has had two solo shows in recent years in local galleries and has exhibited around the country as well as Open Studio events, art evenings at home and private commissions including a recent wall mural. She also holds one to one creative drawing and watercolour classes in her Georgian studio in Woburn.
